Working Mothers Guilt

I have been over come with working mothers guilt lately. Everyday as I rush out the door with the kids and yell and holler for them to get ready, I hate it. Then as I get to work and I think about all that I should be doing for them and I don't have time, it kills me. My kids are taken care of by other people all day long and then again after school. There are days we don't get home until 7 o'clock. It is really starting to get to me.

Here are some pics from a birthday party the kids went to for a new cousin :)
Plus a pic of the happy couple!

Lily The Criminal

My little Lily who is the sweetest of my children, the one who gives us least amount of trouble has started her career as a Forger!

Lily brings home stories to read at night and we sign off saying that she has read them. She didn't give me one on Wednesday night and I didn't think anything of it. Imagine my surprise when on Thursday I get an email from her teacher. Lily has attempted to Forge my name on the form!!!! The best part: It is crayon and it is signed "MOM". After I laughed for and hour or so I go home to talk to Lily about it. I said " Lily you can't just sign MOM when you know that you haven't done the work!!" My sweet little Lily then says " I didn't know how to spell Christi!!"

I ask you what is funnier than being a Mom!!!!!

My Families Aniversary

My mom and dad have been married for 26 years today. Yes, I realize that I am 28 and my sister is 30. We are adopted, so you see why today is our families anniversary and not just Momma and Daddy's. In 1981 it was just me and my Mom and Jen. Mom worked at the hospital as a pharmacy tech. My father is a pharmacist so it does take a genius to see how they met. They were both thrilled to find out that there was another LDS person working there and started talking. April 10 1982 my Daddy took my mother to the Washington DC temple and they were married.

I am no longer LDS but I still know this was special. It was my mom's dream and my dad is her hero. He is mine too. He has been the best Daddy I could have ever asked for. He loves us kids like we are his own and never makes us feel like we are any different from our brother.

Happy Anniversary Momma and Daddy, and Dad Thank You for making us a family!!!

(I am looking LARGE in this picture. Its the stupied shirt I swear I am not that big. :) )

Hannah's twin soul...

I can't find my USB cord! I have some cute pictures of the babies riding 4-wheeler with their uncle Ben after Sunday dinner, I wanted to share. Maybe I can when I find the blasted USB cord.

My Grandmother ( Mimi) told Hannah before she entered kindergarten that there was a little girl just waiting to meet her so they could be best friends for life. Hannah struggled through first and second grade, trying so hard to find her place. This year Hannah is in 2nd grade. At the beginning of the year a woman that I work with and I decided to get our girls together. Olivia and Hannah hit it off right away and have become fast best friends. I can't begin to tell you how thankful I am for this little girl. She and Hannah bring out the best in each other, and I swear that they are twin little souls. I think God every day for Olivia and her mom Kelly.

Not to long ago Hannah and I were riding in the car and Hannah looked at me and said " I think Olivia is little girl that Mimi was talking about."

Where has it gone?

I have been looking at pictures of my friends baby, and I am wondering HOW DID IT GO BY SO FAST? My kids are still little, Hannah is 7, Lily is 6, and Colin is 4, but I miss having babies. I enjoyed getting up in the night with my kids to nurse. The world is quiet and it is just me and them. I loved watching my big ole' husband with the a little one on his chest as they napped together. I would love to have another one but I don't think I could stand being away from a baby and I have to work. Not to mention as we are speaking my kids are wrestling in the living room and screaming and it is only 8:15 in the morning. If we throw a 4th into the mix I am not sure my sanity could take it, it's hanging on by a thread as it is.
I thought I would show you some pictures of my babies when they were younger, before they got big and mean. :)

Random Thoughts

OK, so I am finally going to break down and start blogging. I read Tasha's, Kelly's and Celeste's blog almost daily, I figure if I am ever going to start staying in touch with these ladies I am going to have to start blogging too!
I am calling my blog "random thoughts" because my friends accuse me of being random. I have these really random thoughts and I can't help but voice them. I get odd looks, but luckily I have lots of really good friends who just laugh and go along down my path of pointlessness with me. I love ya'll!!!
Tasha, Kelly and Celeste I love you guys and here goes nothing....
